Knife throwing is a game for fun, but it’s a crucial one to learn. If anyone overcomes the difficulties of understanding the methods of throwing knives, he or she will enjoy it more definitely. To understand the methods, a person has to understand about the distribution of weight of the knife from tip to handle and also have to acquire a consistent pattern of throwing with easy throwing technique.

* Space – At primary trials of exercise, a person can use a distance of 7 feet which will create a half spin of the knife if the knife is gripped by its blade. A person can select 12 feet distance between the targets and his position which will create a full spin of the knife if it is gripped by its handle. Regular practice can improve the level of perfection. If it seems that the handle of the knife is hitting first then, the thrower has to understand that either he or she is over spinning or under spinning the knife. On the next trials, he can make one step closer or one step far from the target to get the better result. The thrower can mark the position whenever the blade of the knife sticks on the target.

* Consistency - Consistent cold steel knives throwing ensures better result and perfection. Once a person is able to find out his best distance for a full spin or half spin throw, he or she can do more practice to develop stability. Wrist impulsion has to be avoided because recurrence of this impulsion might be difficult on every throw. The thrower has to acquire an easy automatic movement with arms and has to exercise more and more on it, until he feels the movement is coming naturally.

* Releasing of the Knife – The perfect moment of releasing is really difficult to identify. The best movement of throwing includes the knife’s force to carry out it on the thrower’s grip. The knife has to be hold firmly to make the prior momentum through the throwers manual but as well as still drive toward the target at a selected moment of throwing. Perfection will occur by practicing this movement frequently.

* Holding the Knives – For the knives with heavier blade, it is easy to throw if it is gripped by handle. To be clear about how the different weights influence on the throws, a person has to do more and more practice with lots of throws and then he or she will able to predict the ideal distance of throwing for a perfect result.

* Location of the Knife – Throwing the knives in tall grass or rainy ground may make a loss. To locate and identify the thrown knife, it can be covered with colored and bright tape on its handle. It will help to find out the knife if it does not stick to the target and fall down.
