How will they know if they have picked the perfect knife for the competition? Take note that it is none ordinary knife used for cutting. It is a knife used to hit a target. If you don’t have any idea on how and where to choose, the following tips will surely teach you:

Ø  It should not be sharp – this is the first and foremost thing to consider in buying the best throwing knives. Sharp edges will only hurt you accidentally like in handling the blade or in a bounce back. The tip of the throwing knife is not necessarily sharp. What is more important is a not too broad tip and does not get flat.

Ø  The throwing knife do not have special handle – handles are not necessary in throwing knives. It does not even give you a guarantee of a better and firm grip. The blade is already enough to hit your bullseye target.

Ø  Go for simple, round shapes without spike – The best throwing knives do not necessarily need design or any shape. Knives with elaborate designs is awkward to throw. The metal part protruding limit you on how you can grip the knife. Sometimes, it will get hooked on your finger while throwing it. Without any designs and spike, you can throw the knife freely and can even experiment some move. Designs will only hinder you to experiment moves while throwing the knife.

Ø  For beginners, the best throwing knife should be around 200g – Ligther knives must be thrown with accuracy because it tends to wobble in the flight. Heavier knives on the other hand are not recommended because you need the proper strength to throw it properly. You can always switch to heavier knives the moment that you have mastered the art of knife throwing.

Ø  Length should be anywhere from 20-25 cm – There should be a coordination of the length and weight of the best throwing knives. If the length is between 20-25 cm then the weight should be between 200-250 grams.

It is also important to get a feel for the best throwing knife before purchasing it. Take a look on all available knife and hold it one by one. If you feel that it fits best in your hand and it has the criteria for a best throwing knife, go for that knife.

The blade is the equilibrium point for endurance in the shrubbery. Without it, you need to remain moving. With it, you set out the freedom to rest.
